Byron Center is a vibrant community in Kent County to the south of Grand Rapids. As of the 2000 census the population was just over 3700. Commuting to and from downtown Grand Rapids is convenient via highways I-131 and the the relatively new M-6. Byron Center is also close to the new Metro Health Hospital and Village. Some of the area’s tourist attractions include the Byron Center Historical Society, Dome World Recreation – Campground and The Byron Fun Spot.

CRYSTAL SPRINGS COUNTRY CLUB: Located AT 7200 Kalamazoo Ave is just 4 miles from the center of Byron Center. This 18-hole facility features over 7000 yards of par 72 golf and was designed by Ernie Sharock in 1989. They can be contacted at 616-656-9898.
IRONWOOD GOLF COURSE: Located at 3750 64th St in Byron Center, the Ironwood golf facility features all the hallmarks of golfing in Michigan. Opened in 1974 and designed by George Wolford, Ironwood is a challenging course and can be reached at 616-538-4000.

WOODCHIP CAMPGROUND: Located at 7501 Burlingame in Byron Center, Woodchip Campground is an ideal getaway for the whole family. Each grassy, shaded site has picnic tables and fire pits. Special events are held on holiday weekends with concerts, wagon rides and hymn singalongs. DOME WORLD RECREATION: Located at 400 84th St in Byron Center just west of HWY US 131, Dome World is a great place to bring the family for Karting and other outdoor sports such as baseball and golf.
