Wyoming is an awesome community in Kent County, just south of Grand Rapids. As of the 2000 census the population was just over 69,000. Commuting to and from downtown Grand Rapids is convenient via highway US-131 and the new M-6. Wyoming was first settled in 1832 making it one of the first-settled areas in Kent county and the whole West Michigan region. Wyoming, Mi is named for Wyoming County New York where many of the first settlers came from.
Wyoming, MI offers many attractions for the whole family including Craig’s Cruisers, The Zap Zone, golfing and camping and the new Metro Health Hospital promises to add to the community.

L.E. KAUFMAN GOLF COURSE: Located at 4807 Clyde Park Ave, this course features all of the challenges expected from a West Michigan golf course. 18 holes and reasonable rates means a fun day on the links.

LAMAR PARK SPLASHLAND: Located at 2651 Porter Ave, Lamar Park’s water park features water tunnels, dumping buckets, soaker stations and more. The Splashpad is free to the public and can be contacted at 616-530-3164.
ZAP ZONE PARTY PLACE: Located 1461 28th Street in Wyoming, the Zap Zone is a favorite of children and adults. Try your hand with indoor mini golf, climb the rock wall or play a challenging round of Laser Tag while celebrating your child’s birthday with friends and family. FROG HOLLOW BOUNDLESS PLAYGROUND: Located at 2050 Metro Court in Wyoming, Frog Hollow opened in 2005. This lovely playground was built with a generous grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and other supporters and is a very special place where children, with and without diabilities, can learn, play and develop essential life skills.
BATTJES PARK: Located at 1655 Blandford SW, Battjes Park feature 55+ acres of walking trails, fishing piers on the lake and all sports including volley ball, soccer, basketball and tennis. This park also has playground equipment, restrooms, picnic areas and shelters from the rain.
BUCK CREEK NATURE PRESERVE: Located at 4269 Burlingame, Buck Creek offers 30+ acres of walking trails, picnic areas with playground and restrooms, fishing, a boardwalk and a nature building.
LEMERY PARK: Located at 4050 Byron Center Ave. SW, Lemery park offers 80+ acres and includes tennis, basketball, softball and little league fields. Walking trails can also be found as well as picnic areas, playgrounds, fishing and concession stands.
